Wicked

In Wicked, we’re introduced to the untold story of the Witches of Oz. Elphaba & Glinda meet as students at Shiz University in the magical Land of Oz, forming an unlikely but close friendship. After an encounter with the Wizard of Oz, their friendship is put to the test, and they find themselves on very different paths.

Glinda’s longing for popularity leads her to give in to the temptations of power, while Elphaba remains determined to stay true to herself and to those around her. A choice that will have unexpected consequences for her future. After their extraordinary adventures in Oz, they will become known as Glinda the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West.

When it came time to cast the Flemish voices for Wicked, we were thrilled to land on Sandrine Van Handenhoven to bring Elphaba to life and Ianthe Tavernier to voice Glinda. Two incredible talents who truly captured the heart and spirit of these iconic characters.

And here’s a fun behind-the-scenes fact for you: recording all the lead vocals and choir arrangements wasn’t a quick job at all. In fact, the team spent more than 60 hours in the studio to get every note, harmony, and emotion just right. That’s a whole lot of dedication packed into making sure the Flemish version of Wicked sounds every bit as magical as the original

Wicked For Good

Since she denounced the totalitarian regime in Oz, Elphaba has been known as the Wicked Witch of the West. Elphaba now has to learn to live with this title. Meanwhile, Glinda was given the name of Good Witch by the Wizard of Oz. She’s also known everywhere as the defender of the land. As a result, the two witches find themselves standing directly opposed to one another, and both are forced to make difficult choices!
