When Gigi discovers that his mother Anaïs is dating her ex again, with whom she shared not only love but also a drug addiction in the past, he gives her an ultimatum: her son or her lover. When Anaïs refuses to choose, Gigi decides to leave the house. Relying on his friends, Gigi navigates his way through a ruthless society.

At the Ostend Film Festival, the Ensors Awards (the top prizes for film and TV in Flanders) were presented. The big winner of the night was Putain, the widely discussed 10-part TV series by and starring rapper Zwangere Guy. Inspired by his own life, the series follows a group of young people growing up in Brussels. After winning the Humo Ha!, Putain took home eight Ensors.
